IMMPact: Impact Measurement Training

Villgro’s experience working with early-stage enterprises, combined with available research findings, shows that one of the largest gaps that remain in support of social enterprises is in developing capacity to consistently and efficiently measure and manage impact (GIIN, 2020). At Villgro we have closely understood the challenges in implementing effective Impact Measurement and Management (IMM) across enterprises of different stages and impact areas.

By partnering with leading researchers from University of Chicago Booth School of Business and Harvard Business School (HBS), we are creating a first of its kind Impact Measurement and Management Training Program, specifically designed to help early and growth-stage enterprises in India, better measure their impact, do better business, and access a select group of leading impact investors. Thus, closing this very important gap in impact entrepreneurship today.

Problem Statements

Uncertainty in impact measurement processes

Both investors and entrepreneurs face large uncertainty over how to measure and manage impact, with few to no standardized tools or guidelines available

Lack of resources

Often early-stage enterprises do not have the time, budget and/or expertise to integrate IMM into their operations

Difficulty in accessing impact investors

Early-stage impact enterprises face several challenges in connecting to interested impact investors ready to provide high-growth seed capital to them

What you get…

  • Practical understanding of the different elements of measuring and managing impact, thanks to in-depth sessions with industry experts and leading professors from Harvard Business School and The University of Chicago Booth School of Business
  • An all-expenses paid impact survey with your enterprises’ customers and employees, to understand pain points in scaling up and obtain a quantifiable measure of your impact you can communicate to your stakeholders and potential investors
  • Access to an exclusive match-making event with pre-selected high-profile impact investors, where you will have an opportunity to pitch your company to obtain rapid high-growth seed capital
  • Certificate of participation in the IMMpact program

What you give…

  • Access: To limited customer and employee, which will allow us to measure your impact and provide you with an easy-to-communicate estimate that you can share to investors and other stakeholders
  • Extremely limited time commitment: Only a few hours of your time to participate in small-group in-depth sessions with industry experts and leading business school professors. Participation from the founder(s)/any other core team members is strongly encouraged.
  • Motivation to improve your IMM
