Less than 1 in 10 households and less than 1 in 20 small businesses in India have a computer. To become more digitally inclusive and have greater access to information and opportunity, India needs around 600 million affordable computers over the next decade.
RenewIT sources computers from large MNCs and refurbishes and remarket them. This helps bridge the large digital divide that exists in a country of over a billion people. The primary goal of the company is to increase the number of high-quality, low-cost PCs and related parts and accessories available to students, NGOs, small businesses and other users.
RenewIT has sold over 15,000 units. Over the next 5 years they are looking to impact at least a million lives.
